Back
An adult Masked Lapwing stands in short green grass with two small chicks under its belly. The adult has a black cap on top of its head, a large yellow flap of skin covering its face around the eye and base of the bill, a yellow bill, a white neck and chest, a black patch on the side of its neck, and brown wings and back with small spurs on the tips of its wings. Its head is turned to the left of the frame. Small drops of water sit on its head and back. The chicks are covered in brown and cream mottled down barely visible, mostly buried in their parents white chest feathers. The background is blurred green grass, and faint streaks of falling rain are visible in the upper part of the frame.

The things parents endure for their kids! The little fluffballs were hiding from the rain beneath their parents feathers
