A large black Torresian Crow stands on short green grass and takes up most of the left and centre of the frame. Its body is side on with its tail pointing to the right, and its head is turned back so that its open beak points up and to the right. Its eye is pale blue with a dark centre, and its wing feathers have a dark blue sheen. In the upper right of the frame, a much smaller black and white willie wagtail is in the air with its wings spread and its tail fanned out, as it is caught mid swoop in a dive towards the crow. The small bird is slightly blurred from movement. The grass in the background is out of focus.

The willie-wagtail kept harassing the crow. There must have been 50 birds in the area, but only this single crow caught the ire of the willie, who would come back every time the crow re-appeared
