A Silver Gull stands on a pale wooden rail, facing left, with both wings raised above its body. The bird's body is white, its beak is orange with a dark tip, and its legs are orange-brown. The wings are grey and white with dark brown and black primary feathers visible at the tips. The background ocean is heavily blurred blue, with some white visible towards the lower centre. One of the birds feet is planted on the rail and the other is lifted slightly.
