Back
A pied stilt performs a running landing on the surface of calm, reflective water, its black-and-white wings spread wide and its long pink legs extended in a striding position, one foot forward and one back as if running across the surface. Its reflection is mirrored sharply on the still water below. Trees and vegetation in the background are softly out of focus, lit by warm morning sunlight.
