An osprey is captured mid-flight against a clear, solid blue sky. The bird is angled diagonally across the frame, gliding with its wings fully spread and slightly bowed. Warm sunlight illuminates its white underparts, chest, and the leading edges of its wings, while the undersides of its flight feathers show dark, detailed banding in shadow. Its head is turned slightly downward, revealing its sharp beak and dark eye stripe as it scans below.
